Old stencil, mid 2009. I love this one! This stencil is of Allison Robertson, guitarist from The Donnas and one of the greatest guitarists of the day. She is so underrated in my opinion. But anyway.
I wanted to do a stencil of her playing guitar but I stumbled across this photo of her on her Myspace and I thought it’d look great as a stencil, she just had a badass “I don’t give a shit” look on her face. Which I thought was wicked. So here it is!
This stencil in particular was A3 sized, I must have used a really dodgy can of paint on it once, because the stencil just turned to trash, it got clogged, normally paint flakes off in due course, but the paint just built up on this one! It was so bad, ruined it. So I had to chuck it and cut a new one, so the new one is a much larger size.
This canvas was a commission piece, someone liked the stencil and asked me spray it on a canvas like this.
I later did a stencil of her playing guitar. :)
